Re: Before I start to breed...

If someone had asked me these questions when I first started, birds would be alive today that are not. There is so much more to breeding than simple good parrot care on a pet level, I still often feel absolutely clueless when something goes wrong that I never saw coming.

However, I truly believe that the best thing for parrots is to be raised by dedicated, ethical, small time breeders who research their hearts out and never stop learning even when science tells us that what we have been doing needs to change. Parrots should not hatch into parrot mills or into families who are not prepared for them.
I don't like to think about where I would be if that little budgie had never fluttered into my life.
