Re: Plucking... need Female Mate for my MARCO

Hi there! Perhaps you could share why you think Marco needs a mate? Has an avian vet cleared whether or not his plucking is due to illness or habit?

When speaking with my friends who breeds eclectus parrots, sometimes having a breeding mate can trigger plucking or exacerbate it.

In addition, perhaps you are already aware, eclectus parrots are not like other parrots who live in flocks and/or monogamous. The males have multiple females across several kilometres, and the females have several males visiting their nests. This also means that domesticated female eclectus parrots have killed introduced males before, and male eclectus parrots can be so territorial to attack new parrots, regardless of gender.
Parront to Cairo (pronounced chai-row, or 菜肉)*!
*He grew up in a Malay-speaking family, so we have to respect his name and preferred pronunciation
