I've decided the Sun I adopted from a friend would be better suited in a different home. I dont have the time she needs invested in her.

I was told she is about three years old. I do not know for sure if she is a female. She has her problems, she will bite when something in the environment changes. If my boyfriend speaks to me, I get bit. If I move my hands a certain way, she bites. She shrieks she sees the broom.
She loves to snuggle and get cheek rubs. She can say 'hello', ' peek a boo', 'tickle tickle' and 'night night'

She will come with her cage, toys and two play tops.

I live in South New Jersey

In the pictures, she had a fright by seeing the vacuum, and let go og her tailfeathers...they are currently growing back

It sounds like she needs a few boundaries and someone who understands the conure mind. I hope you find the right home for her.

Boundaries? Perhaps I am misunderstanding...She does have boundaries, and it doesnt seem to be working. She's my third conure. She has been re-homed (for reasons I wasnt told but I think Im starting to understand) and bites exceptionally hard when my hand, blanket or whatever is in the room with her moves. She goes for the knuckles and face too. I've given her boundaries and none of it is working.

We have another sun conure who we've had since a baby and I know he came from a breeder because we hand picked him....he, who also has rules, does not behave like she does. I understand the trauma of being re-homed three times...but why was she? Because she bites when something happens she doesnt like? Its not a fear bite...its "im pissed' bite.
I love her and I want to see her do well, but I feel she's out of my reach.

So, I still believe Beeker is beyond me. Perhaps I dont understand the conure mindset like I had thought I did. Beeker needs someone who has more experience, and time than I posses.

Can anyone please help me?

Would love to have another sun but I believe transporting would be a problem. Jersey and Missouri that would be a heck of a trip. Mine is peaceful and loving and brings joy to my heart. I am sorry you have to get rid of yours and wish we were closer I think my sunny would love another bird to play with. Wish you the best. Katina:52:

Hi there, I will gladly provide a forever home for your Sun conure. I have my own house and plenty of space for her to feel comfortable & safe. I've been a bird enthusiasts since I was 10 years old and have always grown up with them in my life, I currently have a green Quaker Parrot who is about 1 years old who is very talkative and friendly with my 2 boys(4 yr & 2yr). I would love to add to my flock but I do however live in Raymond, NH so if you wanted to ship your bird with her cage to my house I will promise you that she will receive the most love and care from my family. I can also send you photos of her to show how nicely she is settling into her new home. Let me know if this is something you would like to do and I will be glad to have her as my own.

Thank you for your time,
Jake
