Two Cockatiels: Rascal (Geraldine) and his baby brother named Coconut!
I'm trying to help someone I know. There is this very nice man I know whose spouse recently passed away and he can no longer care for their birds. He has 7 tiels and a lovebird... and 4 emus... yes I said emus! LOL

Lives in West Palm Beach, Florida... the lovebird thinks he is a tiel since he was raised with tiels... so he gets along extremely well with tiels. His wife used to care for them.

I feel bad for him and trying to help him rehome his birds... if anyone lives in Florida who would be able to give a good home to a bird(s) please respond.... or anyone have any ideas on how to find these birds a GOOD home?

Thanks!

Thank you for helping with finding these birds a home.

I feel bad for him... he's going through rough time and he's got a lot of birds that need to be re-homed! :(

He can no longer care for them... I'm going around posting on forums but not sure where else I can advertise... it's very cool how his lovebird thinks he is a tiel!

I used to live in WPB. Maybe he should call "Brenda's Birds" they have a Facebook page and they probably can direct him on what to do. They are actually in Delray Beach. A shot in the dark! Hope it goes well...

Perhaps he would be the peace keeper you need LOL? He sounds very sweet and he is used to tiels! :)

That did actually cross my mind LOL

I can't handle 3 birds at this time in my life though :(

I would love to get a GCC one day.... but not anytime soon... wish I could but timing is not right. That's AWESOME how the lovebird thinks he is a tiel though... since the day he hatched he was around tiels... he has no idea he is a lovebird!

Just wondered if he might be the peace keeper between Rascal and little 'nut so ultimately make life a little easier. Don't know unless you try LOL. (sorry being very wicked).

You are sooo right... I will never know unless I try :D

Problem is that I cannot afford 3 birds right now because when I have to leave town on business I will not be able to afford to board 3 birds at $20 each bird per day (it would end up costing me a whooping $420 for just one week!)... and I've had my heart set on getting a GCC for a long time now.... the timing is just not right. Plus, I have my hands full already with my 2 tiels as Coconut needs so much attention... far more than Rascal does LOL... but then again maybe Coconut would "play" with a lovebird since Rascal is a jerk to him... I have no idea... but financially there is noway I can have 3 birds right now.
