Its a shame that you cant take this fellow with you , as your Mom seems to have bonded some with him.

Normally, it is much better to provide at least some information regarding the 'Amazons' since Amazons as a group has a very sizable number of species.

Also, think about providing at least this plus more:
How long you have had the Amazon
Whether the Amazons has been Regularly Visiting a Vet
Current Flight status of the Amazons
What kind of Diet the Amazon is being feed
And, much more

At present, please understand that with not information it like of like saying I have a White Car For Sale.

I'm sorry for the confusion in the comments, I had all his information on here, but after the first reply I figured I would only get negative comments on how we chose to foster him. I understand the fact we chose to foster would upset some people but it already happened, and I think being in the shelter would have been overly stressful which could lead to him plucking. But I will re post his information:

Gertz is a yellow naped Amazon parrot who is 38 years old, he came to our local animal shelter on Long Island and was left by his owners of 38 years. He was in a cage with minimal toys and could not be let out of his cage for safety purposes, which is why we offered to foster him. We have been fostering him since August 2016 and he's a hilarious bird. He seems to bond with one person heowver we aren't sure, but right now he prefers my mom over others (it could be that she spends the most time with the birds in their room) he says "hi" in too many ways to count, and is learning "how are you" his wings were previously cut but have grown out since we took him home. He received a health check by the vet at the shelter in August where it found out "Gertrude" was actually a boy prior to the thought he was a girl for 38 years lol. He loves to come out of his cage and crawl around, and sit on his shelf full of toys he throws on the floor. He lets my mom shake his foot, scratch his head, pet his back and lift him on her arm. For more information regarding Gertz please email me ( A Moderator can give you my email address) :) :green2:

Okay, that's helps!

Please understand that what had been stated was from the heart and the want to, hope for a Loving Forever Home for an Amazon.

Unless you want to pay for the Air Shipping Costs, the extensive paper and a proper shipping /transport cage, you really need to give people some idea of where this Amazon is located.

Fred, my apologies if my original comment was a bit strident and accusatory. I hope a good home is found for Gertz, here on Long Island.
