well i have had oxy for almost 2 months now (oct 25). i have had 2 very nasty calls with him escaping and then a nasty case of heat stroke.
since the heat stroke he spends alot of time in my bedroom as i have a portable aircon setup in there.

he has now settled in beautifully and the best way to describe him is like a baby that has just learnt how to walk. cant leave him alone for 2min before he into something.
he has discovered the kitchen and will fly in there when ever he gets the chance. i have had to put a blanket up in the door way to deter him from getting in there unattended.
the other day he found my paints and when i got to him he had already opened the white tub and gad a white beak and foot. dont worry it was non toxic but i immediately washed out his mouth, beak and foot. he has also chewed up a candle.
his new fave play toys are cards. my partner and i have been playing cards in the room alot so of course he has to have them. lucky i had another deck which have now become his.
today i was in the process of making him a few toys out of straws and toys he had already pulled apart whilst playing cards and he came down to us and whilst we were distracted he chewed the cover of my partners fave pen. needless to say my partner was not hapy.
we can no longer enjoy a nice peaceful meal, as soon as he sees us eating, he wants some. he is currently on my partners shoulder sharing beef stew and bread.
oxy has also had a change of heart and im now his fave person but he loves being with either of us.

oh and we went for our first walk the other day on his harness, my partner now calls me the crazy bird lady. he did surprisingly well, when i have it on him at home to take him outside to get him used to it he just chews and chews on it, but on our walk he didnt.

okay ill stop rambling on now, but basically oxy is doing great and i love him so much:)
ive added a few pics to my albums

sounds exactly like my Alexadrine Sam, he also loves the kitchen and I have had to put up a curtain to try and keep him out. He also loves food and is always trying to steal something from our dinner plate. I do need to keep a close eye on him as he will destroy anything lol. He is a good laugh though.... Have fun with your parrot
