hi basia, has chiquita gone thru his/her moult yet? my baby oxy is about 9months old now. he too was clipped when i got him but flew away on me and out of fear i had him cliped again by my vet. this was about 5 months ago and his flights have still not grown back in. although they gave grown in enough that he can fly short distances with control.

i dont think there us anything to be worried about, but hoefully more knowlagble people will pop in soon.

'Ringo' - alexandrine, hatched 2012 ~ 'Prinny' - princess parrot, 1992-2012 RIP
The clipped ones don't 'grow back', but she'll get new wing feathers when she molts the clipped ones. Unless of course she HAS molted, but is chewing off the new longer wing feathers? (occasionally some birds will do that) - that's not what you meant is it?

My Ringo is about the same age as Chiquita, he hatched Sep 2012 & was clipped when we got him. He hasn't molted yet so still has his clipped wings. Nothing to worry about. :)
