hey ive had my rex since he was 5 months old he was hand raised and was tame , where i had to work away for 3 months my mother never got him out and now that im back hes scared and goes to bite my fingers that really hurts, he still takes food out of my hand and when he flies out of the cage will come sit on my leg and let me pick him up with my arm to put him back in anyway i can stop him fromt biting also hes just started talking saying hello very quielty any more info i need to know ? also i attacthed a photo dpoes he look female or male ? been told male by a few people but just want to double check

Nice looking bird...I think male too, the neck ring is a dead giveaway. He'll get used to you again...just give the little featherhead some time.

thanks yeah ill give him some time he let me touch the back of him and then i went to do it the second time but went for my hand just needs some more tlc

what a beautiful biy, definately male because only male alexs get a ring. just spend time with him and eventually he will come back around, just be patient and dont push to hard.
i do how ever have to question his age, your thread title gives me the impression that he is 9months?? Alex's dont normally start getting their ring till they are atleast 12-18months old. I currently have a 2yr old who only has a partial ring, its a bit more prominant then your little guys but id say that rex is about 18months old atleast. i could be wrong, but that is alot of ring for a 9month old
