My boyfriends mother has bred a baby alexandrine this year and it's about 7 weeks old, and for the first week we took it out, he was loving and affectionate, then something happened and POOF! Turned into a finger biting machine.

I have offered to hand train him for her but I'm too scared to be seriously bitten

Anybody have any tips or trick I could use so I can properly hand train this beautiful baby?

Thank you

Ours is the same age and doing much the same thing. I figure he's just exploring and learning what his beak can do, so when he makes for the fingers/toes we just try to redirect him to a toy or a bit of food. He's a big squeaky sook otherwise.

Agree with the above, just redirect him and he'll work out fingers aren't food :p
