Xander learned peek a boo from Ekko on Sunday, and last night after he started saying it, and i turned my head away, he started copying that while saying it
He is such a smart boy! And much love to Reg for keeping me out of the video!

Xander is clearly a scholarly Alex. I wish Barn and Madgie would widen their repertoire, but I guess it's gonna be a while yet. In the meantime, they're imitating every blessed bird that flies by! The other day, I thought I heard a Butcher Bird out the back and when I looked, there wasn't a trace. Now I'm wondering if the Beaks were imitating one?

I bet it was the beaks imitating that Butcher Bird..and I agree with Wendy, sounds like a birdie version of the show Dexter. Do tell us about them

Pretty boy and smart, love how clear his peekaboo is!!!

Trish does live in Australia, always knew there were some deadly scary critters living there... I just imagine this vulture looking monster bird flying around with a meat cleaver, roll of plastic and duct tape looking for a victim...

Terry, Xander's peekaboo's are awesome. Bundii was so intrigued. She kept trying to "talk" to the screen. Of course she is yet to say an actual word. Just lots of different screechy sounds.

Amanda, I bet Bundii will be talking right back at Xander before long

I swear, I cannot fathom why the previous people who had Xander kept him covered and shut in a back bedroom all the time...they did not know what they were missing

They sent me a video and told me how horribly loud he was (his honking which I think is cute!). They said though that when he is covered all the time he doesn't make that noise

Aahahahahah butcher birds everyone are like mini magpies!! They are sweet little thing!! Some I hand feed mince at my Nan's house and they are gorgeous little dolls!! Don't be out off by the name
