So this is not happening with Bundii but just wanted to share.

You are not the only one with a place at the dinner table for your bird. Bundii has one too and watch out to anyone who sits in her spot. :D

Cause that is the best kind of helping. Helping yourself to others plates :D

We always try to include Bundii in everything so she gets to experience as much as possible and this helps to keep her socialised.

Dinner time is one of the best ways we do this. She loves to try everything. And I mean everything.

Dominic: Galah(RIP: 1981-2018); The Lovies: Four Blue Masked Lovebirds; Barney and Madge (The Beaks): Alexandrines; Miss Rosetta Stone: Little Corella
Dominic nearly took a bath in my bowl of Weetbix this morning. I put it on the bench while I went to wipe the microwave out (WHY am I the only decent soul who does that???) and when I returned, he was lapping away at the milk, not the Weetbix, and preparing to perch on the edge of the bowl. Euuww! Imagine the upturned bowl of milky cereal with a bird in the mix!

Dom shares most meals with me. He eats the crusts of my toast or sandwhich (NB. only a bit about the size of my pinky fingernail) and just loves a nibble at my meat or cheese filling. If he hears the rattle of me opening a packet of ramen noodles, he positively gallops to get some. Of course, I never feed anything to Dominic without sharing some too with Barn and Madgie. It's extremely NOT easy to feed porridge to a pair of greedy Alexandrines off a spoon, let me tell you! Madge still feeds like a chick, thrusting away at the spoon as if it were her Mummy's bill. Barney just looks on in embarrassment and gobbles up as much as he can before Madge heaves into view and scares him away. :)

This morning, Barney and Madge saw Dom getting something they hadn't had and set up an almighty shrieking. I had to go and feed them some Weetbix as well. Thankfully, the Lovies are more polite than that and were probably not even aware that Treats were going down.

Later in the morning, my son spilled a drop or two of coffee on the bench. Some time later, Dom was to be found lapping up the spilled coffee like there was no tomorrow. Later yet, I offered him a cup of fresh water from the sink, but he ignored that and pushed past me so he could lap at the washing-up water (which contains suds). Dominic is not your usual bird, I think. :D
