Guidance for new mom

Sponsored Links
Morning everyone. Two weeks ago I became the proud owner of my first Alex. I named him Yoshi and he's stunning.
I wondered if anyone had top tips to rearing a well behaved bird ( he's approx four months and hand reared.)
Also when I have him on my arm he makes a noise like an eagle...but a little quieter lol, any ideas why, he's out and has my attention.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forums Mozz.....I see Allee was not kind to you...her suggestion reminded me of a political science teacher I once had.....she liked to give out reading assignments via credential citations, whether they be books, unpublished manuscripts, or various other publications and usually you had to read through her suggested reading list & hope you listed the one particular piece she wanted you to read when you compiled your abstract of the reading assignment.....

Congrats on Yoshi & good luck on your reading assignment(s).....

Very funny, weco, I'll bet you were a joy to have in a classroom! You know I'm always kind to all our members, including the new ones. Training is a very broad topic, I think most people like to research the various methods and choose the one most suited to their bird and their circumstances. Ahem, you also had the opportunity to give our new member a better answer?

Actually she & I had some interesting conversations in class and she was an interesting teacher who always thought I had a poly-sci calling, but Uncle Sam & engineering got in the way.....her husband was a foreign service officer who took an early retirement & became our school superintendent when their twin daughters hit junior high.....

Yes, thank you, I did have an opportunity to offer a better answer, but since some prefer to reading & training discussions in-house, I don't keep up on all the various posted threads, so I probably would not have made a good showing.....you saw how I did for not suggesting a video clip on step-down training...but then I don't remember ever joining a popularity contest around here, though I do try to stay on my best behavior...when I can..... :-)))
