hi
i have an Alexandrine parakeet.. i have been observing lately that she sits on the cage floor towards the corner of the cage. she also bites the paper thats on the cage floor and even goes to sleep... my bird is pretty ok during the entire day.. she whistles, eats food and is active. however she acts like this for half and hour in the evenings and then she is back to normal.. is there something wrong with her? thanks alot guys:green2:

It sounds like she may be nesting. Has she been checked at a vet just to make sure everything is okay?

How old is she? How long have you had her?
I think the advice that she may be nesting could be right.

Nesting behavior isn't necessarily brought on by having a partner. It's instinct.
