It depends, is he eating?
Offer him more food like vegetables and pellets, bigger variety will maybe help him eat more.. if he's trying to eat but having trouble offer soft food, also eating the same food in front of him might help or offer it to him from your hand. What colour is his stools?
Don't try to handfeed, if you don't know what your doing you will cause more harm than good. Also don't force handfeed thats a big no no you could easily kill him if the food goes down the wrong pipe.
What country are you located in?

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Was the owner a breeder? If not, perhaps you can locate the breeder to receive best advice. As mentioned, tube feeding is very dangerous unless you know the exact details.

If you can't get detailed information, might want to visit an avian vet if one is available. Sorry, I don't know anything about Alexandrines, perhaps a more experienced member can help!

Please let us know how your bird is doing!

Thank you so much for replying I'm in nsw australia. He is only having small pecks at the fruit i have put in there his stools are green black and white. What sort of soft food could i offer him i put some apple and orange and millet spray also the pet barn gave me peach face parrot seed mix because it is small so that is also in with him but he hasnt had any only small amounts of apple and orange. The owner of him wasnt a breeder, didnt know much at all so i have been relying on google. Thank you so much for the replies ☺

Black in the stool means he isn't eating much. New bird's sometime's won't eat much when changing homes for a couple days due to stress but I don't know if that's the case with your guy or if it just doesn't know how to eat or just not like what he's eating. We live in the same area, plenty of food is available in nsw, thats good atleast!
Some things to try:
-Ask the breeder exactly what he fed the parent's (it's likely the baby's were eating some of that on their own, this probably the best thing you can do, birds don't like change!)
-Try to reduce stress on him (put him in a safe quite corner and don't do things that fear him)
-Go out and buy different food (a seed mix with sunflower seeds included is what a lot of birds love, it's not good for them but at this point be happy if he eat's anything, also try some small pellets and soften them with some water, add some dry fruit n nut mix could work also, fresh vegetables like corn on the cob, carrots etc, alot of bird's like tropimix small parrot mix, try that if you find it)
He need's to start eating really soon or I would be very concerned, small amounts of fruit isn't enough! I would take him to an avian vet if he doesn't start eating soon, it's a good idea to do that with new birds regardless of signs or not. Goodluck!

At this point I would highly recommend a visit to an avian certified vet. Very difficult to determine why your baby is not consistently eating. It might be caused by a medical condition that is very treatable!
