So Miss Bundii payed her first egg today. She will be 8 years old next Thursday.

As it is her first, I am after some advice for her care her. She had no issues laying the egg but I just wanted to make sure I am giving her the best after care.

I guess looking for foods to feed, any special bedding or needs, and particular behaviours to expect.

I have always had male birds and now have 2 females. I just want to make sure she is ok and that I am doing the right thing. The egg is not fertilised and I am going to play it by ear if to remove it straightaway or not.

All opinions are of assistance.

Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
a bit of extra calcium in her diet expect more eggs!

Just let her do her own thing, as long as the eggs aren't cracked just let her do what she wants with them until she gets bored. Then remove them but only after she's done. As for "bedding" she'll find some around especially if you have any paper around!
