Hi
I recently got a male alexandrine which is around 9-10 months old. He will let me stroke him and take food from my hand but he point blank refuses to step up. Not even on a stick. Does anybody have any tips?

Also, the person I bought him off only fed him on a seed mix, mainly sunflower seeds, how can I get him to eat fruit, veg and pellets? He will eat a bit of Apple but that's It?

You're our kind of folks!
THANK YOU for rescuing this darling. The bird is already impressively friendly!
I bet that "step up" will come along...maybe some old trust issues or bad experiences. There are some step-up experts here who will be along with ideas and analysis.
Meanwhile, here are a couple of helpful threads for you!
