I have a 3 (almost 4) year old CAG that I have raised since he was hatched. Due to current health and money issues, I can no longer care for him the way he needs. He talks well (no colorful language), not a plucker, healthy appetite, great feathers, hand tamed but starting to withdraw due to the attention I can no longer provide for him. He has been on a pellet and fresh fruit/vegetable diet from the time I was no longer hand feeding him. He is very social and likes to be around people and even interacted with my kids well.
I am currently located in the Greenville South Carolina area and can arrange to meet within a reasonable distance. I WILL NOT ship him so DO NOT ask!!! You must have Vet references showing you have cared for previous parrots as I will not let him be adopted by a novice handler. I am asking $900 for the adoption fee. I will not post pictures here, but if you inbox me with your cell number, I can text photo's of him directly to you in his cage and being handled... maybe even a video call so you can see how he responds.

I am not taking losing my companion lightly so please contact with me with any questions before I change my mind.

Hmpff...

You can post pictures here if you like, its no big deal.
This is not craigslist.

This is a great forum and you would be lucky to find someone here to take your beloved bird.

would you consider trading for a spoiled blue and gold macaw that never bites or screams?

fur-shur no way, dude!

Good luck.

Thanks for the replies so far, but my health issues is something that I will be unable to recover from and the finances are due to the health issues.... vicious cycle it seems, but S*** happens!
I give it another couple days to see if there is any interest, if not I will come up with another solution. Thanks for the support!

I'm so sorry for your circumstances. I hope you're able to find a good home for your CAG. It would be one less thing to worry about. Sending you good thoughts, I hope things work out as well as possible for you.
