What would you pay for these? +Other things

So i am making a "business" called Haniyah's Cool Creations. I can make custom art of your pet(s) but here are some I already made:

Also, Should I ship these physically or e-mail them? I feel like i might ship through CanadaPost because i have a feeling the digital way people can just share to everyone and ppl will get them free. I'll add other options on how much you want to print, and on what type of paper, and make things like cards and stuff with your custom if you'd like it. I spend long on this work and i don't want that sharing stuff for free to happen. ALSO, THE "SAMPLE" AND COPYRIGHT ON THE COCKATIEL DRAWING WILL NOT BE THERE ON THE ACTUAL PAINTING. WHEN YOU TELL THE AMOUNT YOU'D PAY FOR PLEASE TELL ME THE CURRENCY! Thanks! ^^

The value of Art is a combination of the cost to create and the value perceived in the eye of the beholder. What is loved dearly by one is passed-up by another. It is the oddity of Art. I understand that I didn't answer your question, but that is the World of Art.

Digital transfer can result in serious issues as you commented upon as there is also the quality of the customer's printer and paper. This can easily cause a customer to demand a refund. There are services that can take your digital file and print on the paper to your specification (there are limits) and ship to your customer. This can move the ship point closer to your customer and limit shipping costs, especially with international shipping.

If you normally create in water color on mounted canvas, you are faced with creating digital file and special reprinting equipment by a vendor or your buying this expense equipment.

I'm not an Artist, not even stick drawings, but do buy Art and have friends that are truly great Artists. Each have worked long and hard to develop their mediums and vision. If you're at a point where you are simply looking at how to get your works in the hands of your customers, the internet is filled with organization that specialize in getting it to them.

With hope, this 'bump' will get your Thread back up on the Board and one of our talented individuals may share with you their experiences.

I agree with what was said-- if the original drawing came mounted/framed, that would also make a difference--I think another question would be, would you create custom images of people's birds? I am currently broke (LOL) but I do think that is a charming picture and if it were framed nicely, say in black, I think it might make it "pop" more!

Hhhhj-
I know it depends on the price it costs to make it, but it was literally free, unless...

The software i use came with a drawing tablet, which was about 100$
if that counts, yeah that is a bit overpriced aint it?

Not really, I have seen tablets and software for far more, likely a combination of level of fine line and other details used to create a wider pallet of Art. Plus, there is always size of the tablet and the abilities of the Software. High-end rendering CAD station with tower and software suit(s) can easily top 10,000 USD corporate costing.

Well, not "literally free". After all, you spent your time to create your work on that tablet and the last time I check 'your time' has value.

In hobby-like endeavors it is most often the case that the investment in time and money far exceeds any return on investment from a sale.

To be blunt, I would think that there is little value to anyone for random bird drawings but there can be a reasonable value on custom drawings. A few members here have sold custom drawings, search for those threads to get an idea.

Good luck

I also think that people generally prefer to have a physical copy of something on paper--- you know, when people buy art, they often appreciate the original more than a copy of the original, so that is something to consider as well. I am sure there is a way to mail things to people without listing your home return address (for safety)..But then you would have to account for shipping costs etc.

You could also try experimenting with different types of media-- you know, pastels, water-colors, acrylic, pen and ink etc. This technique might be cool to use on bird portraits https://www.deviantart.com/goodnight...ique-607970982

I would definitely make customs hopefully that cockatiel drawing gets some use though, but i'd rather keep the budgie one

I did draw that on my computer (i drew the budgie on paper) but that technique seems nice!
