What in particular makes you think it's a scam?

I don't see any real red flags at first glance....

I can tell you it's not photoshopped. If it is, it's done professionally. I'd ask for a video :) lol There's all kinds of mutations in reptiles... look up a pied ball python or a lemon bearded dragon. It's not unheard of, maybe genetic mutations are finally catching on in the bird realm! :D

Yes, it's the UNREAL color. They could have been dyed that color. Did you see what they are asking for them? That is one of the things that make me stop and say Hhhhmmmmm. I wouldn't let a buck slip through my fingers unless a DNA test was done on those birds first.

You guys probably never heard of the blue mutation of yellow nape. Thanks for this link. Iv been looking for these specific species since I found the mutation. These are real birds.
I can't belive I'm seening them on criegslist. And as for the price that's CHEEP. That's the price per bird normally. I want these guys but odds are there gone. I'm e mail the man.

No this is no a scam there not fake. Real mutation. Just extreamlly rare.

13,000 does sound cheap for a pair. Hy macaws are more than that each. Might be a good investment MDMike. Think of all the greys & macaws you could buy w/the proceeds.lol Did you see the M Rh Amazon? Thats what merlin looks like now. Very cheap for the amazon too.

Okay, I guess if you hadn't heard of these before, you might be suspicious.

Heck, I've learned with parrots for sale, even normal-colored ones, always be suspicious anyway. ;)

Yeah, I saw that Mexican Red Head close to a month ago on Ebay Classifieds. I had even contacted the owner because I thought the price was very reasonable for the bird, but this bird isn't tame.

That nis nice to knwo that they are actually real and are getting a bit more plentiful. They are pretty, but there is something about the traditional Amazon green that really appeals to me more than one of these mutations.

I had just never seen one before and was a little shocked by it. The old retired cop in me reverts back to the moto, believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see because there are two things that causes a con to work: one is greed & the other is sympathy.
