I have had this blue front for a year. He has bee good. We went on vacation for 2 weeks and senthis to our sons in his cage. We got him back this week and yesterday he was missing some feather on a spot on his head above his beek. Today the spot is larger and all of blue is about gone? His cage is clean. I do not think he is eating as he did befor our vacation. He dose not seen to like the people food he ate befor and is not eating his food as well either. The stress of the move? Thanks for any advise

Could he have had an accident? Is the feather loss anywhere he can reach w/his beak? I imagine he is stressed, give him a few days. If things change, take him to the vet.

I'd like some more info.Is he rubbing /scratching his head? discharge from nose?sneezing ? drinking water good ? I'm worried it might be bacterial infection from stress and strange environment, possible something in air at your sons house bothered his sinuses,Air fresheners, candles, cleaners, something of that nature. If the losing feathers happened in a day or two (quickly} i'm not sure i'd wait to take him to the avian vet.
Did he spend time out of cage before trip, and while at sons stay in the cage?Did he lose the feathers at your sons?have you seen the feathers on the cage floor?Did rub on the cage while at your sons to get out? More info better answer.

I would take him to the vet there could be health issues as mentioned. Even so a vet trip is in order especially as he isn't eating. Amazons love their food.

He isn't molting is he? Also check for feather mites.
