I just got my YNAs wing clipped he took it well only being two years old.

Right now he is in his cage just cooling down and resting. I am gonna let him out pretty soon, I was wondering how he will take it. Because he was fully flighted and flyed every other day around the house. I dont want him to get hurt so I was wondering if he will get hurt trying to fly, or how he will take it.

Also Now will be the perfect time to teach him to step up again, with out those sharp nails.

I've never reclipped Auggie since I got him - but I think it may be easiest on him if you give him safe chances to discover his new limits: put him on some very low perches/furniture and let him 'fly' of. I think it'd be pretty scary for a bird used to launching off of the top of their cage to suddenly realize they can't gain altitude.

When I get my birds nails clipped or trimmed, he can't grip very well. So when she is on my shoulder, I have to move slowly or she will slide off my shoulder. I also keep her wings clipped ever since I have gotten her.
