As requested here's some pics of my yellow lored amazon! He's only 5 months old so his colors are not fully in yet!

Oh thank you so much the stands come from Bird on the Rocks. Great stands Love them! George will not get very big he's the 2nd smallest of the amazons on the spectacle is smaller! However, there sizes overlap some as well!

Yes Karen was told she was a male when I got her...and that he was a juvenile and his colors would develop well they told me wrong she's definitely female

Chadwick.

Evidently, we shouldn't talk about 3 year old posts here, lest we be chastised, but regardless, I thought it was important just the same to note the proper sex.

I had a retailer in Southern DE try to sell me a white front amazon as a yellow lored, telling me the same .... That he was just immature and the colors weren't in yet. I knew better and walked.

Anyway, yellow loreds are rarely seen and hardly discussed on this forum. I thought, regardless of the age of the post, that the proper identification of HER was warranted.

Hope she's doing good!

It's not a matter of being chastised. It's a matter that often it's no longer relevant. The op may have moved on, their situation may have changed and in this case the op long since figured out he had a girl, not a boy. So if there's a topic you want to discuss it's better to start a new thread instead of opening up an old one.

There is a relatively recent post about yellow lored zons with pics of two males.

So noted.

Prior to yesterday, in any posts, there is no comment made about the yellow lored being a female - other than my own. Maybe you read something that I didn't. There's no need to create a new thread when trying to correct something inside of one.

I am aware of the more recent yellow lored post.
