How cold is too cold to go outside for some real sunlight? And if you are inclined to say something like "below 70 degrees," then how do you account for the Stuttgart parrots? :green:

If they aren't accustomed to the outside temps, then for however long that they may enjoy being outside without being cold!

If you suddenly take your bid outside into the cold it will have negative effects, but if you take them out often or leave the window open and hour or two a day they adjust and can deal with extreme temperatures, even into the 30's although personally I wouldn't do that. I knew someone who left his birds out in aviary's year round, it got below freezing sometimes but and they had a safe heat lamp but even in winter they only really used it while sleeping.
