I think you should do some research before you buy the bird. They are very high demanding pets and there would be a lot of things to consider like how much time you'd have for it, if you have the space for a nice big cage, if you can afford all of the toys (because you will be going through toys like you wouldn't believe) and read of the behaviour problems birds can have, and how to deal with them correctly.
There is also no guarantee it will ever talk. Sometimes birds just don't talk, no matter how smart they are, you should never buy a bird just because of its talking ability as you may end up disappointed.

Do you have enough time to socialize him? they need 3 hours of out of cage time a day.
Will you neighbors be okay with the noise?
Are you able to care for him for the next 60 years?
Have you done research on the species?
Aside from that, look carefully at the shop. The bird should be on a pelleted diet with fresh fruits and vegetables. The cage must be clean. The bird looks in good heath, but check it's feet, eyes, nose, and feathers for anything unusual.
Let us know how things go!

hi
i bought the parrot and he look healthy
but when i went home i was cheking my parrot i did regonize some tears in his eyes and white space look like Tumor and i feel he didnt see in this tumor eyes and this a pic pleas i need help

PLEASE, if you feel your new bird is sick, take him to an AVIAN vet. I'm so sorry you so hastingly bought this beautiful Mealy without thoroughly checking him out first.
If you want to help him, take him to the doctor for birds.

The picture is not very clear, I'm sorry, I don't see a tumor. But I do think it looks swollen.
