Amazon body lang? Ruffled feathers?

So, I am told that Marm is around 40 years old, hes not a spring chicken, but hes pretty peppy and has all of his feathers. I noticed though, he has his head feathers ruffled alot, theyre not standing straight up, he just has a fluffly appearance. He does this when hes sleeping and relaxed, I assume this is perfectly normal?

(I am a total newbie so bear with me, I just want to make sure this is okay)

Hes sitting here now cooing and napping he looks huggable and fluffy, I am hoping this is all good!

Yup this is perfectly normal. If he stays ruffled all the time it MIGHT be a sign of sickness but it is perfectly normal when they are sleeping/relaxing. Its the birdy version of cuddling up in a nice blanket.
