Lilac crowned amazon!

I had the pleasure of meeting a breeder who owns not 1 but 7 Lilac Crowned amazons!!

I can't believe the luck she has had getting these birds. One she got for free, the second one she only paid $100.00, it was owned by a senior that had to go into a retirement home.

she had many birds, including electus, IRN,amazons,conures, just to name a few. she is the ONLY breeder in Canada who owns 7 of the beautiful birds.

I have her permission to post the pictures I took.

the quality of the photos are not that great, and the bird is back lit by the window and I took them with my phone

No, I have enough birds,lol.
I traded one of my pineapple conure breeder birds for a sweet tamed, real cuddlebug pineapple conure. we named her Kahlua.she's just 3 months old.

Awe I bet shes cute [love babys] I only have known a sunconure.But I always liked Goldcaps [their heads are cute] Whats yours like.

A good friend of mine had to rehome his birds due to life issues, this is we're boo and jackpot came from as a promise to him. He had a lilac crowned he wanted me to take in the worst way, but I just couldn't with my dyh... I felt horrible and I really loved her too they are great birds! Very laid back, this one talked on command to many things and was just amazing. I took boo and jack as they were the two he was worried about the most going into a good home and not being taken for what they were( although jack screamed 8 hours a day).

Kahlua is the nicest sweetest pineapple conure we have ever owned. we haven't had much luck with them, all have been very nippy, bossy, you know the usual.
Kahlua is totally different. I realized after we brought her home she didn't know how to step up. they had been gently putting their hands around her back to lift her out of the cage.
now with a little prompting, she steps up, and then snuggles in my neck.
as for my GC he's LOUD!!, but all kidding aside, steps up without any hesitation, but just wants to hang for the day on top of the cages
he doesn't bite, and loves music, he bobs his head a lot when I have the t.v on playing music, ha ha.

A ton of breeders wanted to purchase him, but when I inquired about him, the manager knows me quite well, and gave me $100.00 off.
he knows I'm a breeder, but I don't breed tame birds, it would be such a waste.
and they deserve much better.
