i talked to someone about adopting a amazon, but he told me the parrot has a plucking problem right now. i'm sure that if the bird was shown a little out of the cage time and was kept busy with a bunch of toys that the plucking would go away. but will the feathers that the parrot has plucked out regrow or will i be adopting a half bald bird ?

it depends. you need to find the cause of the plucking. i would start with a vet check up.

Do you have experience with parrots?

Its not always that easy. But if he does quit plucking then yes they will grow back quite quickly. But plucking is a habit, so just because you get rid of the ORIGINAL cause does not mean he will not continue plucking.

Don't get me wrong, plucking can absolutely be cured, but if you don't have experience with it it will not be so easy as new toys and more out of cage time.
