When I got home from work this afternoon I went directly to Annelise's cage to see her and open it so she could come out. She made an awful sound at me. ... beak open. She came out while I was changing clothes. When I went to her to have her step up, she screeched at me again. .. beak open. ...I firmly told her to step up and she did. There were no bites but she is really vocal this evening when I move my hand towards her. I placed her back on her cage and she has seemed fine. Any ideas on the behavior or is this just an amazon doing what they do? **Hahaha I did notice she has a rogue wing feather that she keeps messing with. Perhaps that is making her ill?

Aha Ha ,,, she's just punishing you for leaving her. Don't worry , ya'll work it out.

PS be glad she's not a conure,, they can carry a grudge.

Did Annelise growl at you? LOL. Both my Sam and Hunter can growl. It sounds a bit intimidating, but I ignore them and pick 'em up anyway. :)

Amazons are FULL of personality. :D
