Larger to smaller cage?

I have a couch potato Zon. He moves around his cage as little as possible. As adopting a mac fell through I was thinking about putting Danny in the big cage so he has to move around. Here is my only worry. If a mac does show up would I be able to move him back into the smaller cage without too much issue? As of right now this silly boy would be happy to live on a t stand as long as it had a food bowl. So any extra movement I can get him to do is great. Poor kid, only 5 years old and sits like a old man all day... :green1:

LOL @ your description of Danny.

Yes, I think he would adopt just fine going back into a smaller cage. My Hunter's been in SO many cages, from double macaw cage, to regular macaw cage, and now she's in a 36" wide X 28" deep and she is loving it.

Thanks, I thought it would work but I have never gone down, always bigger! There is no way my house would hold 2 of these 4' wide 7' tall monster cages!

I have a couch potato zon. He had free roam of his previous home so I purchased the largest cage that was appropriate for him. He, too, sits the majority of the time. I have had him for 6 months so far and hope he will become more active over time. I have been thinking about putting him in a smaller one too. Definitely the opposite of my B&G macaw.

I am almost to the point of getting a second zon, (that moves!) just to see if Danny gets the idea, its ok to move around! (That and I have always wanted a DYA)
