Quaker parrot
I have my cousins quaker parrot and we are making strides in training. Mango was doing everything in his power to get my attention while I had this other bird out. Then the bird fluttered over to Mangos cage and Mango went for him. Luckily I was pretty on to of things and pulled him off before Mango got close. I guess I will never be putting those two together.

I'm still deciding if I even should keep the quaker. He is really cute and picks up stuff really quick. I'm not sure if its fair to Mango?

It's certainly better to keep the two parrots separated and avoid squabbles, or worse.

As long as the Quaker is with you, whether or not you ultimately decide to keep him, remember to observe "first bird" protocol with Mango. Mango should be the first to be greeted in the morning, first to be fed, first to get out for playtime, but last to go to bed at night. As long as Mango still gets his full measure of love and attention, in time he'll probably at least tolerate having the Quaker around.

I found Marley being more interested with being nice to Simba than Simba being nice to Marley, even Marley was here first. I think YSAs are more friendlier than many other Zons, so give it a bit more time......
