Hi, are amazons as high maintenance and needy as cockatoos?

Welcome to the forum. Well ,you did ask this in the amazon section !!! NO amazons are much less "needy"/ clingy than toos, however they all are high "maintence", LOL. I think one of the amazon's best traits are they seem to be very adaptable, at least well socialized ones are.

One of the traits I love most about my Amazons are that they can be SO independent.

I love Amazons. They are amazing, smart, funny, and can be devoted without being needy.

Agreed. My zon is not needy at all. He can entertain himself very well but is also willing to be with his humans.
