So its been a little while. Specs has taken to us very well. Sorry not new photo's as of current been busy prepping the ground for spring and work. Woo work!

Anyhow, he's really into beak play/preening me. The misses not so much. He'll demand attention from her but with me he'll preen my sideburns, glasses and scruff if I've not shaved for a day or two. Also likes to hold upon a finger with a foot and beak while my thumb scratches the side of his head. I'm not overly concerned about being bit hard or having blood drawn. He's made his wishes known a few times and broke flesh here and there but then again so has my conure. All in all he's really quite a love bird.

The weather has hit 70 here a few days ago, so took him outside for a walk about the block with my daughter. This is after a few test runs in the back yard on a fairly windy day with a lot of noise to gauge his reaction. Needless to say, he was quite happy in the sun and breeze, or at least looked like it! Sadly walks are now over for a few days as its SNOWING...

Him and the wee lass seem to be getting along quite well. She keeps her distance but he has tried to climb down to her from the back of the couch. Really freaked me out, but he wanted her cookie. I do think as long as food is involved, BFF4EVR!!!

Been working late shifts, and he seems to know when I get home at night. I will hear this squawk sound coming from the quarantine room, at which I best be heading up to say hello, offer a few rubs and have him with me for a little bit at night. I know many people may not like that situation, him being up late. It just doesn't work well the next day if I'm quick about it. He'll become moody as if 'Why didn't you visit me last night? I called. More than once. Did you see someone else? Were you ignoring me??!' He really wants to relax on me and demand rubs for 30 mins or so before he'll go back to bed. Longer if I'm making my self dinner come midnight! The misses is kinda sad that he's really bonding to me. I can't help but wonder if his previous owner was a male, or what.

Anyhow, dinner calls and I better get to the table before he walks off with my carrots...

He sounds like he's doing great with you!!! I personally don't worry about keep them up late at night as they want love from you regardless of the timing. I personally work late too so I bring them out late at night. They will get rest when your not around. So everything sounds good to me. :)
