Nature boy (Kiwi getting in touch with nature)

Inspired by this months POTM contest, I decided to give Kiwi a bath and let him hang out in this flowering bush in our yard (under close supervision, of course!). Still haven't decided which one to submit, but I thought I would share:

Getting in touch with the rainforest

Can you spot the parrot?

Fluffin' in a bush

No one shall spot me hiding behind this leaf

Don't leave me mommy, I don't want to live out here!

Re: Nature boy (Kiwi getting in touch with nature)

Very nice pics. Is that mountain laurel? Most plants with thick ,white sap are toxic.I'm not very "up" on plants in your part of the US.Anyway, as long as he's not chewing it, it doesn't matter.

Re: Nature boy (Kiwi getting in touch with nature)

I have no clue what kind of plant it is, but I was watching him like a hawk to make sure he didn't nibble on it

He didn't seem that interested in being in a real tree anyways. He prefers the plastic variety with food dishes and toys But he sure is pretty in his "natural habitat" and such a good boy to pose for mommy

I assure everyone, he did not so much as touch the plant with his beak. He was kind of like "ew what is this filthy thing I'm sitting on, and where is my nice, clean perch?" lol.
