Hello :) I am going to look at a 6 year old female bfa this afternoon. Depending on her health i am more then likely going to get her. Right now i have a male bfa Tiki who is also about 6. I am not interested in breeding. I know there is a quarantine time of 30 days which i can put her in a spare room i have. After that i would like to move her down stairs which is where the other birds live. She will have her own cage but since they are the same species will they try to bond or not.
Thanks

In my experience they won't just bond by being "neighbors". :) However, if you allow them to become "acquainted" on a mutual playstand, they may decide to either like each other or despise each other.

How is your relationship with your current male BF Amazon? He "may" exhibit some jealous tendencies once you place the female within his view. :54:

Our male bfa doesnt like women he loves men so my husband is his buddy. Tiki will step right up for him and they do lots of things with each other like go on car rides. It is really cute. My gcc is bonded to me though she follows me everywhere. The owner of the female bfa said that she prefers women but will step up guys too. So i guess i might have a problem with my gcc getting jealous then since we dont have that problem now becuase tiki likes my husband and rudy likes me?
