Since I have had Mystic (YNA) she loves when I lay on the bed on my stomach, arms folded holding me up while she cuddles under my chin. Like I am making a nest around her if that makes sense.

A few weeks ago we were sitting on the couch and my dog got too close in her opinion and she flattened her back and repeatedly clucked at him, then flew at him, completely freaking him out I might add.

Then tonight while we were playing on the bed she was excited and did that clucking again. She also did it when I "nested" her.

My rescue older zon that passed was male and never made this noise. I have heard it out of hormonal females, along with the back flattening during breeding season. Those of you that have heard a female feeling aroused will know the clucking sound I am talking about. Is it weird that Mystic does this at such a young age? Also does it hint that she is in fact a "she"?

Sam does the clucking, but I believe he's picked it up from Hunter. :) He DOES flatten himself a bit sometimes, too, but not as low as Hunter does.

Want me to come over and do a little toe nail clip? Then you'll know with certainty very soon what ya got. :54: :D

Lol... I know Wendy, get off my butt and do a nail clip but I had thought I wanted to wait until she was completely weaned and she is still getting a morning and evening feeding. Little stinker!

I never thought I'd say this but I am looking forward to being done with hand feeding after feeding most of my eclectus, (remember Jolly took over 7 months to wean!!) feeding some for my breeder friend and now the zon's I feel like I have been doing it forever. I am looking forward to the morning I can get up and drink my coffee without "time to feed the baby" being my first thought when the alarm goes off and my feet hit the floor!

Right now Mojo and Mystic both have very full crops but are still picking at stuff in the cage I am not sure where they put it all! Chow hounds I tell you!

My breeder friend approached me about feeding more babies and I said NO WAY not until I get at least a 6 months break of no hand feeding!

Today, I heard Buddy clucking. He didn't do it for long but this is the first time I've heard him or paid attention to hear it. It's your fault, ha! I think this thread is what made me catch it. I asked him he was clucking, he stopped and stared at me lol.
