If you remember Brady was unexpected and fell in love with me and of course I can't help but to return the love but her constant attempts to feed me are a little gross... shhh don't tell her.:54:
She really has only one bad habit from her previous home and that is screaming, loud and long! If she can see you or she is on you she's fine but leave her eyesight and oh my god your ears bleed. We are working on it though and other than that she is an absolute darling! Still haven't done all the sexing I need to but I will be extremely surprised if Brady is a boy. She does say Brady a lot so once I get the sexing done and she is in fact a girl I will probably change it to Sadie.
Look at all the blue tint under her chin, outside it's amazing!!

I forgot to add that it will be a long time before she can fly, poor girl.:( The elderly woman that had her took her to a shop to get her wings clipped and jiminy cricket I've never seen such a hard clip! Right up to the secondaries and in fact I found a secondary feather molted that the very tip was cut, they got dangerously close in my opinion to doing permanent damage!

I did call the shop and let them know the person who does wing clipping there needs to be re-trained that it was way, way too short!

Very nice and so healthy looking. BTW i vote parvipes subspecies (how much does she weigh) , welcome to the club. Not too many of them (parvipes) around. I wouldn't stress over a hen with a male name, i have hens, Jake,Kong,Pedro,Floyd etc, they don't care what their names are.

BTW there's a good "trick" for screaming, does she have any nonfavorite people ? (a bad guy) You need a good "bad guy", someone who has a few days or a weekend and can be around during the day for the whole day. The bad guy is someone she doesn't like. When she screams for you,, send in the bad guy to stand quietly by her cage/stand until she stops. You have to be consistent ,both the bad guy and you. You need to stay away when she doesn't do right and the bad guy needs to be right there when she screams. Otherwise you and her act like it's a normal day. This usually works after only a couple of days. Remember this is for a bird who is screaming for attention. When the screaming doesn't produce the desired results ,she'll stop. Of course you need to teach her how to "call" for you. You need to do your part and respond. I understand she can't be with you all day long so teach her to entertain herself with toys and such. Keep her near the center of activity in your home, where she feels included. When you do interact with her,, keep it short and put her back before she's ready. Sometimes i'll give them alittle "more" attention than they really want and they'll happily go back to their stand/cage and not require my attentions. Socialize, socialize, socialize. The more friends a zon has the happier, friendlier and better pet they are. Sure my many zons will have their "loud times" in the AM/PM or when they know i'm prepping food for them, but i don't have any "screamers". If you have any questions or don't understand me ,,ask away.

545 grams, she very well could be a parvipes. Is she a bit 'chuncky" ? LOL

Brady is beautiful, Laura, mustache and all! Lol!

@Richard: VERY interesting training technique! (Good Guy/Bad Guy) Never heard that one, before, but it sounds like it would work rather well.

Yes Richard, I would say she is a tad chunky  LOL! The horrible clip that was done on her really effects her mobility.
I scooted a play-stand up to her cage to get her climbing from the top of her cage to the play-stand for at least a little exercise. I have tried flapping exercises with her but she doesn't like it and if you could see how short her wings are it makes sense.
We are also cutting back on the amount of seed she was on, it took a while but now she is for the most part cleaning her dish of fresh foods.

She is so cute! Love the middle picture, she just looks like the portrait of a perfect parrot:D I

@Henpecked- I've never heard of the good guy/bad guy training method before, but that is an *excellent* idea. Teach the bird "if I scream the bad guy shows up" lolololol.
