I adopted a double yellow headed Amazon 6 months ago. It took a few months for him to become comfortable and start talking, I gave him much space and waited for him to be comfortable. But he has started biting me lately. He had been aggressive with a few family members that visited but never with me. But now he is biting me. I have been away multiple times (7) in the last 3 months for 3-4 days at a time and I have a family member come in and feed my birds but I came home today after being gone for 48 hours and he has bit me twice in 3 hours. He comes across very aggressive. He is 32 years old and was doing really well. Any advice? If this is related to me being away, should I go back to acclimating him to me each time I return home?

I also have a Blue and Gold Macaw (12 yrs old) that I adopted 6 weeks ago and umbrella Cockatoo (3 yrs old) that I have had for two years. His behavior did not start when the Macaw came in, he became very excited and has talked much more since the Macaw came into our home. The behavior has just been in the last 2 weeks.

I appreciate any help. :greenyellow::blue1::white1:
