kiwi doesn't seem like a kiwi

Well that amazon I adopted had the name kiwi from the first owner however it was never used. She responds more to pretty girl which is what the 2nd owner named her. I have no problem with that but she needs a proper name. And also too many kiwis on the forum :09:. So will you guys help me in picking a name? I'd be ever so grateful.

Pics are coming I promise but she's still timid around me so I don't want to shove my camera in her face. And we scheduled an appointment with our av for the beginning of oct. She hangs her left wing lower than her right from a previous run in with a ceiling fan per previous owners.

I agree, your pretty girl has earned a new name. I cringe every time I see ceiling fan and parrot in the same sentence, poor bird, sounds like she's been through a lot. I hope her vet visit goes well. Lots of names to choose from.

Theres a lot of Kiwi's on here! I never realized how common it was until I joined this forum either. Our Kiwi came named, and changing his name was the least of our worries when we got him

I'm not sure it would exclude all that many members? Extremely popular parrot name. I thought at first it was only green birds, like the fruit, but I've seen a cockatiel and a CAG named Kiwi. I guess their owners named the birds for their feathered friend's favorite treat.
