I haven't posted anything in a while, was afraid I was posting to much in the beginning of becoming a first time fid mom. But I really wanted to share this in the event it may help someone if they have this issue...... I will post pics as soon get my PC to work again because I'm having some weird issue going on with my tablet and can't get pics to download.

Sammy took a terrible nose dive crash to the floor Hitting extremely hard, so hard in fact that he hit then flipped to come to a land flat on his back. I grabbed him up and he just set snuggled and limber in my arms. After assuring him he was secure there I started looking him over. Oh my gosh!! I thought his eye was gone. It looked pure brownish colored. I just knew he it was filling with blood. That he would be blind. Or the worst, he had such a head injury I would lose him. I have never felt so helpless and heart broken. I cried for days and prayed nonstop. I knew he was in terrible pain. He had to be. He sat on my chest with his head tucked into my neck as if a child needing a hug and comfort. ( u will see this in the pics too) he was depending on moma to make it better and i couldnt. Bout killed me!
Later on i decided to try to get him caged for the night ( very hard to do for fear of what the morning would have me facing).
He was very quite the next day but he let me hold and snuggle him. Even trusted me enough to move him around and rub all over him to see if i felt anything outa place. His eye looked terrible and his balance was even worse. I assumed that could be from the vision. i talked with an Avet which couldn't get their Dr called in, and read any thing i thought i can learn from ....

I gave him protection from light to try to help with the eye pain and lots of rest time. I just knew he would never get his eye back the way it was and I knew he couldn't see out of it. I would test with holding things on that side and he didn't see it. I read about aloe. Lucky I had some. I started putting a bit on my finger and put it into his eye. He let me. Never jerked away, tried to bite, no resistance at all. I done this 6-8 times a day. Within 3 days his eye looks 100% better. There is a small mark that looks like pupil pulled. I also know he can now see cause he is starting to let me know he sees it coming.

He is bout back to my normal " i hate your husband" momas bird he has always been. For a few days he didn't mind my husband standing close to me. Hubby says That confirms that he was hurting. Normally Sammy would all but try to attack him over me. I have completely giving up on trying to help those two get along.

Well I just wanted to share the story of the aloe ( I used 100% aloe gel) in case it would be helpful. It really helped his eye and me to fill like I was helping him in stead of feeling so helpless. His wing was swollen a bit, looks better now to. Not perfect , but I think he is headed in the right direction.
Help send up some birdy prayers for my baby and I will get the pics here asap.
Thanks for listening to my ramble. This has been a long, heart :(breaking, worrying, tear jerking, scared to death time.
