Hello! I havent been on here in almost a year! Tonight I got a lilac crowned amazon. His name is Elivs and he is 17 years young. I kept seeing him at my local bird store for a year now and finally asked why he was there so long.They said no one wanted to adopt him because he was so old and people dont like old parrots 
. He originally came there because his owner put him in boarding and didnt come back for him Poor guy. He is soo mellow compaired to my bfa. It is crazy. So is this normal lilac behavior? I also know he is older which makes him mellower too. Is there other people who have had experiences with this species?
