I got a bigger cage for Lucy and now she is peeved at me. She gives me the evil eyes. Its weird because she was out of her cage and tried to crawl into bed with me when I played down to take a nap, but then once she is back in her cage, she is back to wanting me a dead man. Is this normal?

How long have you had her? She a new bird to your home? I think the honeymoon might be over. really need a bit more "history".

I've had her for 8 months. And we went through the honeymoon period and after that she attacked me pretty bad and then a few months later she has been good and docile again.

Some parrots do not react well to change. Even if you gave her the most spacious, toy and treat filled cage ever, if she liked her old one better, it will take her some time to adjust.

When I got a new cage for George the YCA, he didn't like it because nothing could be arranged the same way it was in his old cage-- the perches and the food and water dishes all had to be arranged differently in the new cage. George never did adapt to the new cage and was so unhappy that I gave him his old cage back. Maybe if you can arrange the perches, dishes and toys in Lucy's new cage so that they're similar to the way the old cage was set up she'll be happier with the new one.

It's probably just a new cage and she is unsure about it. Give it time and be patient.
