I've had my BFA Lucy since she was 8 months and now she is 1. She never ever has screamed. She just makes soft cooing noises at dusk and dawn. She also doesn't talk that much. She talks maybe once every couple days. Is there anything wrong with her? Is this just her personality?

Count your blessings! Sounds like you got a quiet one by nature. Amazons can be incredibly loud, and in my experience, they tend to be on one end of the noise spectrum or the other (VERY loud or VERY quiet). Our BFA is really quiet too, he rarely makes "big" noises, but when he does you need your earplugs:)

Ugh I'm so jealous of both of you! Cookie is a VERY noisy Amazon. If the tv is loud he screams, if I talk on the phone for a long time he screams, if he want something he screams, if he wants to get off his cage he screams, if it's early morning he screams, if it's night time he screams, and he can be EXTREMELY loud! But it's all worth it lol, my family thinks I'm crazy for tolerating him, they always joke about having cookie for thanksgiving dinner because he is so plump. :p

I have a 15yo BFA that I've had since he was 4 months old and he has only made a significantly loud vocalization 3 times in his life. Those "screams" were probably only at about 50% of the potential volume of a BFA and only lasted for 15-30 seconds each and they all occurred in the first half of his life.
Each time it happened I could only think that the quiet was over and the screaming BFA was breaking out but just as quickly as he started, he fizzled out.

Oooooh, did you end up with a flock of noisy ones then? I bet it sounds like a parrot party at your place every night:D!
BYOEP (bring your own ear plugs) right?

A quiet BFA?? Wow didn't know they existed. Hang onto your hat when it does belt out a scream, you'll want ear plugs for sure.

All my rescues: Pepita, Rocky and Eva, my Quaker Parrots Clover and Sweet Pea, YNA Willie Buttons, and TAG Coca.
It looks like my Willie (YNA) was taught that bird language is unacceptable. I have never heard him scream. He only talks and sings in a quite acceptable decibel range. I wish whoever trained him had concentrated more on his bite pressure :).

Morning and evening flock calls are very civil. He just calls for "Mother... Mooother???" The loudest I've ever heard him was on the deck, when he saw a neighbor in the back yard. His "Helloooo?" is quite friendly and just loud enough to get a friendly wave. The neighbors must think the hermit next door has suddenly become social!
