I feel terrible

...My 'too Jonesy,has shown interest in Amy,my 'zon..He has wandered up to her house,looking up at her,while she stared down at him.

Awhile ago, I had both of them out,as I sat on the floor between them.
Jonesy walked up real close to Amy,and she just sat there watching. He walked up to her,and GENTLY preened her head,just for a few seconds,and walked away. Amy actually lowered her head a bit to allow this
So I THOUGHT they were cool with each other.

Well tonight,the front doors of their houses were open and The Cockatoo Man was on his roof,and Amy was on the floor close by. So I got Amys perch stick and she got on it and as Jonesy was on his roof, I slowly got closer to him. He was jabbering away,and hopping and running all over the roof as he usually does,and Amy sat on her stick watching,and she fluffed up her face abit and started bobbing her head <like she was about to regurgitate>
Jonesy came to the edge of his roof and stretched out as far as he could,giving kissy sounds to her,but I made sure she was far enough away so they couldn't touch each other. Well he kept jumping and scwalking and she was mumbling away saying "hi bird" and 'zon nonsense.

So I moved them just a little bit closer..and then WHAM!! Jonesy reached out and CLUNKED her right on her poor head!!:11:

She yelled a little and I moved her right away and rubber her poor noggin. I yelled at Jonesy and immediately put him back in his house.

I feel so bad for my little Amy..sniffffff

Don't blame yourself too much. Jonesy played you, Toos are good at that. Come a little closer and give us a kiss, then wham, you've been smacked.

I know a female Goffin's. She's a character, she's very socialized and will step up
and visit, she talks, does tricks, a funny little clown. She hates other birds, she will stalk them, let them out of their cages and chase them, she has to be supervised every minute. Her human has huge aquariums and they have covers with multiple locks after Mattie went reef fishing one afternoon.

I hope Amy is better now and not feeling traumatized. Parrots sure can be master manipulators. Such behavior is cute and endearing right up to the point of causing harm to other living creatures.

I've been charmed by a too before too. He called me over, ever so sweetly, referring to me as darling, only to lunge out.

"Reef fishing"! OMG that is funny!
Smokes could be mean too.. I don't know how many times she and Amy would be out,only for Smokey to sneak up behind Amy and YANK her tail Poor Amy,she is just too trusting!
