Davy has lost these and many down feathers in the last week or so, that started about the first time he attacked my scrunchy, could he just be moody from molting?

Could be. Zilla is going through a hard molt right now and even though she is a super duper sweet bird, she has been a bit grumpy the last few weeks.

At 5 years old he is probably going through puberty too, so he could be even grumpier! :D

I'd say yes. Like Amanda, my parkers going through a hard molt and he's been a bit moody at times.

Thanks guys :) I just kinda put two and two together. We had been making great progress then all scrunchies must die mode lol (but only when attached to my hair of course) He has been doing better, or I am just better at reading his moods . . . or both! And yes, at 5 years old I am sure the hormones are raging, and isn't is breeding season for 'Zons as well?

Now I feel bad Davy lol, I would be trying to bite everyone one is site also! I got to give some head scritches today and he has been saying hello to me (new words since I brought him home)
