So glad to hear you're making progress with your baby! :) Could you share some pics? I'd love to see him.

Please be sparing with the pommies as they're truly not the 'healthiest' treat for an Amazon. Now a baked potato is an entirely different story, preferably a yam. :D

Pommies are less of a problem in England, since they are served with dark ale. OK, bad humor, neither are good for Parrots. It was just the visual that popped up when I read pommies.

Cheers,

Ey up Kev really glad little un is settling in so well, time and patience matey and oodles of it. As they used to say slowly slowly catchy monkey lol

Not quite following why pomegranates are bad for birds? Please ellaborate you thought train JerseyWendy. Their diatery fiber is high, B6 is good and their potein levels hmm yeah lacking and the vitamin A is none existant, high in folate acid, sugar wise hmm still less than a raisin, figs and a few others which are found in quite a few parrot food seed mixtures. Calorie wise in a like for like grammage almost the same as a sweet potato (yam). I know I would personally prefer to feed raw foods and ones that would be accessible to birds (tubars growing underground). Natural beta carotene being my preferred method of choice rather than vitamin A, BUT I am always open to new ideas and suggestion / options to consider. As long as all options are utilised you don't overload the birds one way and miss the others (ie make sure you give birds access to all vitamins, minerals and trace elements so they don't end up with a deficiency)....

Kind of maybe, but no.

Was thinking more along the lines of just washing something down.

Is pedigree ale (think I got the spelling correct) still available? North of London up to Manchester area, I think?

Cheers,

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. :32:

I was under the (obviously false) assumption that pommies were Pomme Frittes = French Fries. :54:

My native tongue is German, so yup, there was most definitely a barrier of some sort, LOL.

Sweet progress, Krev!! You've got to be pretty tickled with how far you've come in a relatively short amount of time. :)

Got any pictures for us, please? I'd love to see your new baby.
