Dears ,

I have an issue saving the yellow nape eggs in the automatic Incubator. I need to know the exact proper temperature and humidity measures for the automatic Incubator?

( Yellow Nape )

Thanks

Short answer... get the book.Parrots, Handfeeding and Nursery Management by Howard Voren and Rick Jordan . You should be able to find used paperback fairly cheap on amazon..com. temp should be about 99F and 80 percent humidity until last 3 days. Personally i don't incubate zon eggs unless i have too.

He isn't kidding about that book. It is "the book" to have, and contains a lot that you will not find online. Be sure your incubator is made for parrots, a normal chicken one doesn't do the trick. Also, eggs left with the parents for at least three weeks have a Hoch higher hatch rate than others.

Even though I know your intentions were well meant, please note that new members are unable to send PMs. :)

I've seen the price of this book go up over $100 at times, I'm not really sure why. Anyone who ever intends to be involved with hand raising would be wise to keep an eye out and nab it when it is cheap.
