So Greenleaf has a few different play areas but her favorite is her boing. It is hung from the ceiling over our ice chest freezer which catches all the poop and toy bits that fall down. Our couch is right next to that ice chest on the same wall, but she is high enough and far enough away she could not go from the boing to the couch without a big leap down and over. Greenleaf is not flighted.

Dillan (my fiance) and I were sitting on the couch together, he was in the spot close to the boing. We were just calmly talking and watching TV, and Greenleaf was apparently calmly on her boing, not playing or vocalizing or in any way excited. No windows were open. I didn't see what happened, but turned around and Greenleaf fell (seems impossible with the distance from boing to couch) or launched herself onto the back of Dillan's neck. Now Dillan does handle Greenleaf but with gloves and a dowel rod and he is still very uncomfortable with her. She has never been aggressive or jealous with either of us at home and lately she has been much less hormonal. Still, having my amazon inches away from his head freaked him out, I gently put a pillow in between her face and him, then got the dowel and put her back on her boing. Her claws left a little mark where she landed but she did not bite, talk, flare her tail or do anything else while on him. My first instinct when I saw her on him was that she was attacking him...apparently not.

Maybe she just wanted to be with us? We live in an apartment and the wall she is next to has neighbors that can be very loud but I don't think that spooked her because we didn't hear anything. I had Dillan hold Greenleaf after the incident and she just wanted pets as usual and then got a little playful with me. I am hoping it is a freak thing and not a foreshadowing of her having problems.

EDIT: In case anyone misreads, no window blinds were open. We never open our windows, I was implying more that there was no way for her to see something scary outside.

Davy (BFA) did something similar the other day with me and my bf. We were sitting on the couch, on the opposite wall from Davy, he is out on top of his cage as per usual. We had just finished dinner, and he got a few tasty treats from our plates. He wanted more, and was at the very edge of his cage door, asking. I looked away and he flew toward me and landed next to me on the couch. He is not hand tame, though we are working on it, and he usually freaks out when he is away from his cage. But he calmly stepped up and I sat with him for a bit on the couch with him on my arm taking to him, until he started to realize this was new and he wanted back to his cage, and i took him back over.

I took it as a good sign with Davy, as with yours there was no aggressive actions, I think he is starting to trust more, and wanted to get another treat (in this case some cooked sweet potato). And as calm as she was after, playing with you, if something did scare her, she was comforted by you :)

I don't think she meant anything mean by it. Watching her I think she is learning from Eva and wanting to be with us more. Eva is allowed on our shoulders whenever she wants - she is gentle and her beak is tiny - so maybe that gave her the idea. Yesterday getting her down from her boing she did not step up and at first I thought she was being standoffish. She started gently beaking my gloved fingers, then hung upside down, held onto my hand with a foot and played with me for awhile before stepping up for pets and then back to cage. She allowed me to wrestle with her beak (in the past she has been aggressive if I touch her beak) and was gentle with her play bites. That was a first!

Yeah. Without any sort of aggressive posturing preceeding the event, that's I want to be with you...

There would almost always be posturing involved before one of those launch attacks. So without the tail flaired, eye pinning, warning noises, I'd take this to mean I want to sit with you guys.
