If the pic uploads you can see a happier Polly, isn't she beautiful? The vet said that she is coming along nicely. Still needs to gain weight and she had to do a round of antibiotics because she went after Charlie and he bit her. She is plucking the area around the bite even though it is healed. The skin under her wing is red, raw and irritated. If she will let me I will try to get a picture of it. I hate to put a cone on her but I don't know what else to do to keep her from picking at it. Her previous owner's son called me and in conversation mentioned that Polly's parents were different breeds, one was double yellow headed and the other was something else. He also said that Polly's mom plucked herself and the father. That has me a little worried! I have increased Polly's outside stimulation with car rides and trips outside hopefully it will keep her occupied. She has stopped being aggressive with Charlie, but they still have to be watched closely because it is spring and Charlie is all kinds of hormonal. Polly preens more than she used to and spends more time watching the bird feeder out the window. She still doesn't really play with her toys. She is much gentler and calmer than she was when we first got her. Any ideas on how to get her interested in her toys?
