Soooo my mother for her birthday is treating herself for a YCA that she has absolutely fallen in love with. Unfortunately I still live with her so my previously declared "no more birds" has been invalidated :8_grim: . The same person who is buying this zon also told me stories about how zons are demon birds and will attack lol. Ever since I was a child she would tell me of the demon zon and ever since I've been terrified of them. My question is: what are zons (specifically YCAs) like? I don't want to live in fear of this bird, help me quell these fears! I have had little interaction with amazons because of this fear... I've only had physical contact with one today when he decided he wanted to come up onmy arm and I immediately put him back down (progress...? Lol).
Of course, no two parrots of the same type will have exactly the same personality, but I think George was fairly typical of YCAs-- though many do enjoy perching on their human friends, which George did not.
