The look of guilt and shame

So, I am redoing the floor protector under Kiwi's cage. I pulled the old one out last night and was finishing it up this morning. After breakfast, I saw him poo in his cage and he spent like 2 minutes on top of his cage before I moved him to his swing so I could finish the floor protector without worrying about him pooping on the carpet. So I put him on his swing, get to working on the thing and notice he looks rather suspicious. O yes, when he is a little too puffy and cute, I know he has done wrong, and I see the look of guilt



and the look of shame



on that adorable little face of his. Start looking around and sure enough:



Mommy is NOT amused. Kiwi is potty trained and knows he's not suppose to poo on the carpet or furniture or people, but I think he saw unprotected floor under his cage and being a defiant amazon, conjured up a hard to clean up poo just for me

Oh, dearest Kiwi, I am sorry, but I must beg to differ... That is, for me, not a look of guilt and shame... more like guilt and guilty pleasure!

To me, that second pic is one of self satisfied pleasure. "Oh, Carpet? There ya go! "

Amy would have NO PROBLEM taking a big CHOMP out of her daddy for humiliating her like that!!

But he's not really a dunce. He waited for the perfect opportunity to inconvenience my day Not very nice, but pretty smart of him!

Hoping I'm not due for a chomp He should be happy though, I put his winter sleeping hut in his cage yesterday.
